It's an annual tradition around these parts, where movie fans
Mikey, Dave and Pinky recognize the Thanksgiving Holiday by giving
thanks to their favorite things of the movie and pop culture
world.
First up, its Birthday movies! Remember Arthur
Christmas? Neither do we. But we do remember Sling
Blade! Romeo + Juliet! American Tail: Fievel Goes
West! The Mosquito Coast!
Then its a round of Rotten Tomatoes, a potpourri style... each of
the hosts calls out a movie, and everyone guesses the critics
score. Find out the scores on the Keanu Reeves' The Day the
Earth Stood Still... Gigli... Sleepaway Camp II... Sesame Street's
Follow that Bird... Insomnia... and the shocking score on Hamburger
Hill
("The best Grenada Invasion movie ever made" - Remodeling
Clay Shaver)...
What defines a modern western, and do Hell or High Water and No
Country For Old Men qualify? Being happy for theater chain
buyouts and movie pass programs... Marvel doing it right,
especially with the Avengers... Chris Pratt & Amy Adams movie
choices... Disney Animation getting it done... Sci-Fi's
resurgence... the turnaround from screen to home viewing...
Plus a breakdown of Pinky and Deer Park Water.
Finally, Pretty in Pink returns as Pinky gives us his thoughts on
classic early 80s cartoon The Secret of Nimh.
Special thanks to everyone who adds to our show -- Clay Shaver,
Jenn Kaufman, TechnoRetro Dads, Skywalking Thru Neverland, Retro
Joe, Scott Ryfun, Billy Seybolt, Terrance Malick Apologize, Whit
Stillman fan and Movie Historian Dr. Earl and many more for adding

And to you, the listener, the downloader and podcast collector...
thank you for listening. We couldn't do this without
you.
